Taco Tuesday came about in 1989, when a Wyoming-based fast food restaurants Taco John’s was granted the trademark for “Taco Tuesday” but many believed to have used the name prior.  After years of the name and popularity of the idea, many local restaurants and fast-food chains caught on and made it official in 2016.
