The City of West Palm Beach is getting ready to light Sandi The Christmas Tree this week. For the past several weeks, the waterfront has been transforming into the ultimate Holiday in Paradise filled with lights and holiday decorations.

The 35-foot, 700-ton tree made entirely of sand has been named Sandi by the city years ago and Sandi makes a debut with a different theme every year as part of their holiday tradition. New this year, is Sandi’s friend Hope, a flamingo who will help Sandi bring the holiday spirit to Palm Beach County this December.

This Saturday, December 5th, Sandi the tree and Hope will be lit for the holiday season during one of their Nightly Light Shows running from this Saturday to the end of December. The Nightly Light Shows run daily from 6 pm to 10 pm. New to this year, the light show will be synchronized with the new Centennial Square Foundation.

On special nights Santa will be making an appearance in West Palm Beach for kids to grant their holiday wishes to him.  Santa will be seated inside his holiday snow globe on Sunday, December 6th, Saturday, December 19th and Sunday, December 20th.
