A generous group of volunteers in Delray Beach offered additional support for the frontline healthcare workers at the Delray Medical Center, 5352 Linton Boulevard, Delray Beach. The hospital has served the South Palm Beach County community for 30 years as a 536-bed acute care hospital.  The medical center is a community hospital and a Level I Trauma Center.  The hospital offers highly specialized services such as neuroscience, oncology, cardiac care, orthopedics, rehabilitation and E.R.

As a sign of appreciation, this weekend volunteers in South Palm Beach County increased efforts to deliver about 100 care packages to healthcare workers at Delray Medical Center. The packages were filled with all the ingredients to prepare a healthy meal. Included in the care package was chicken, rice, apples, oranges, and additional snacks.

Most hospitals across the state are still in overdrive. The Florida Department of Health announced, testing across the state continues to increase, but the percent of those testing positive for COVID-19 overall has decreased from 10 percent to 9 percent.
