The Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach offers a unique program that allows you to Adopt a Sea Turtle. The program helps benefit the continuous care and treatment for the sick, endangered, and injured sea turtles.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is a non-profit sea turtle research, rehabilitation center and sea turtle hospital whose mission is aimed to protect the ocean and all that live in it. The Marinelife Center provides treatment and care for endangered and injured sea turtles before being released into the ocean.

The Adopt a Sea Turtle program offers six packages to choose from: the Basic Adoption Package, Fletch Adoption Package, Enhanced Adoption Package, Premium Adoption Package, Deluxe Adoption Package and the Adopt a Nest Package. Prices range between $35 dollars to $150 dollars. All packages include a personalized adoption certificate, a newsletter subscription, and a photo of the sea turtle. Other gifts and materials are included in some of the other packages.

Through the program, medication, hospital care, food and tank maintenance will be provided to the turtles to help improve the turtle’s nutrition and health. Once the turtle is adopted, the center posts weekly updates online of all their turtles present and you can even track their progress. You will also help by furthering the studies of green, leatherback and loggerhead sea turtles that nest along Juno Beach, Jupiter, and Tequesta from March to the end of October.

You can either adopt a turtle online or you can visit the Loggerhead Marinelife Center to adopt in person. The Marinelife Center is open seven days a week from 10 am to 5 pm and is located at 14200 US Highway 1 in Juno Beach.
