Virtual Boating Safety Course This Saturday and Sunday

On select Saturdays and Sundays, The River Center in Jupiter teams up with the US Coast Guard Auxiliary “Flotilla 52” to provide a series of Boating Safety Course targeted specifically to young boaters in our community.  The course is aimed for young boaters, but all are welcomed to learn more about safety on the water.

The course will be held virtually this Saturday and Sunday. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation and the State of Florida requires that anyone who wishes to operate a vessel of 10 horsepower or more and is born after January 1st, 1988, must complete and pass a Boater Safety Course. Once the class is completed, the new boater will receive a Boater Safety Identification Card that can be used immediately.

The Safety course is provided through the sponsorship of the AustinBlu Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to raising awareness and promoting educational programs for safety on the water.  A $10 dollar deposit is required when registering for the class but will be refunded once the class is complete.
