
Palm Beach County COVID-19 statistics recap:
- Vaccinations began in Florida on December 14, 2020. There are roughly 22.2 million residents.
- 2,266,723 people have received the first dose in FL.
- 2,791,216 people have completed the series (i.e. received the 2nd dose of Maderna or Pfizer or single dose of J&J) in FL.
- PBC has vaccinated 133,219 (first dose only) people; 250,042 have completed the series.
- Florida reported an increase in new cases, but PBC was down:
- 32,088 new cases in FL up from 31,692 the prior week; up 1.24%
- 2,265 new cases in PBC down from 2,577 the prior week; down 12%
- PBC 7-day moving average of new cases declined to 317 from 362 last week.
- PBC 7-day test positivity rate declined to 5.6% from 5.79% last week. It still remains above the 5% desired threshold.
- Testing in PBC declined to 40,637 from 45,352 last week.
- Hospitalizations rose slightly to 199 from 194 last week - the second time it has been below 200 since November 9, 2020.
Regarding the Town of Jupiter:
- 71 new cases in Zip code 33458, down from 115 the prior week - the lowest since November 30.
- 11 new cases in Zip code 33477, nearly unchanged from the prior week (10).
