Sand Sculpture Christmas Tree - West Palm Beach

For the tenth year, the City of West Palm Beach is bringing back a 700-ton sand tree, known as Sandi. The holiday season in West Palm Beach kicks off with the city’s annual tree lighting. However, this is no ordinary tree. "Sandi" is a massive, 700-ton tree made completely of sand. Sandi is decorated with thousands of lights and is one of the most mesmerizing sights for miles around.  It is the time when a team of sand sculptors and lighting technicians turn 700 tons of sand into the one-of-a-kind 35-foot holiday sculpture known as "Sandi" in downtown West Palm Beach.

It is free to visit Sandi and you will want to stay for much longer than it takes to snap a few photos. Visitors can play a glowing nine-hole mini-golf course on the West Palm Beach Waterfront, dance to a DJ, and create their own life-sized tropical snowman or snowlady with fun mix-and-match pieces.

Where else could you find a beachy vibe with the holiday spirit?  It is the most wonderful time of the year!
