What's Open In Martin County

Martin County, like many counties in Florida has entered Phase Two of Reopening South Florida last week. Nearby counties Palm Beach County, Broward County and Miami-Dade County are still waiting to hear back from Governor DeSantis on whether they can enter Phase Two. Phase Two took effect on Friday, June 5th in Martin County.

Here is what Phase Two means:

  • Restaurants may allow bar-top seating with appropriate social distancing
  • Pubs and Bars may operate at 50% capacity inside and full capacity outside with appropriate social distancing
  • Retail stores may operate at full capacity
  • Gyms and Fitness Centers may operate at full capacity
  • Entertainment houses such as concert houses, auditoriums, movie theaters, playhouses, bowling alleys, and arcades may operate at 50% capacity
  • Personal service businesses such as tattoo parlors, tanning salons, acupuncture establishments and massage establishments may operate while adhering to the Florida Department of Health
  • Pari-mutuel facilities that offer gambling may submit a request to open with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation

In addition to everything listed in Phase Two reopening, here is what is open in Martin County:

  • Martin County opened its beaches to all on Wednesday, May 20th after being open to residents only for a few weeks
  • All boat ramps and fishing piers are open for use
  • Recreational facilities, racquet courts (tennis and pickleball), batting cages, skate parks, playgrounds, and fitness areas are open for use
  • Golf courses are open for play
  • Community pools and lap pools are open
  • Youth programs and summer camps are open
