Jupiter Beach September Cleanup

The Friends of Jupiter Beach's September beach cleanup is slated for this Saturday, September 17, 2022, from 8:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. at Ocean Cay Park in Jupiter. It happens to fall on International Coastal Cleanup Day. All volunteers will receive a FREE International Beach Cleanup Day t-shirt!  The first 100 volunteers to sign in will receive a $5 gift card to Surf Taco! The beach cleanup helps to keep trash away from the local wildlife while also helping to maintain the beaches for generations to come. The cleanup will encompass a 2 ½ mile stretch from the Juno Beach Pier and continue to the southern edge of Carlin Park in Jupiter. Please use beach crossovers 22-59 and enjoy a variety of breakfast foods, drinks, and old and new friends. Do not forget to get your free ticket for a prize at the end of the cleanup!

When you arrive at Ocean Cay Park:

-        Please pick up a pair of provided gloves, grabbers, and small bags.

-        Join a team.

-        Team Captains are in orange shirts and have instructions for cleanup areas.

-        Collect debris on the beach, along walkways, under crossovers, parking

-        Please arrive in closed-toe shoes, hats, sunscreen, and bug spray. No flip-flops.

-        Do not leave collected items on the beach or roadside.

-        Volunteers are requested to sign in at the Anita Lankler Pavilion! Students desiring school community service credit must check in promptly at 8:00 a.m. to receive 1.5 hours of Community Service credit.
