$2 Million Florida Lottery Winner from Boynton Beach

A 30-year-old Boynton Beach man claimed the $2 million top prize from the $10 MONOPOLY BONUS SPECTACULAR scratch-off game, Florida Lottery said in a news release. The winner chose to receive his prize in a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1.615 million. He claimed his prize using a secured drop box at Florida Lottery's West Palm Beach district office.

The Florida Lottery is responsible for contributing more than $39 billion to education and sending more than 880,000 students to college through the Bright Futures Scholarship Program. The Florida Lottery reinvests 99 percent of its revenue back into Florida's economy through prize payouts, commissions to more than 13,000 Lottery retailers, and transfers to education. Since 1988, Florida Lottery games have paid more than $73.2 billion in prizes and made nearly 3,000 people millionaires.

The man purchased his winning ticket from Points Market at 9975 U.S. Highway 441 in Boynton Beach. The retailer will receive a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

The $10 MONOPOLY BONUS SPECTACULAR game was unveiled in July 2020.  It includes more than $162 million in cash prizes, including four top prizes of $2 million. The overall odds of winning the lottery game are 1-in-3.44.
