On Saturday mornings throughout the year, The Loggerhead Marinelife Center hosts a Self-Guided Beach Cleanup. Every weekend, volunteers head to the beach to participate in helping to keep our local beaches and ocean clean from debris and trash.

The Self-Guided Beach Cleanup is a new program this year that has been added weekly to their event calendar. Those who wish to participate are asked to stop by the Marine Debris Sorting Station on the back deck of the Loggerhead Marinelife Center to pick up your beach cleanup supplies. Once supplies picked up, volunteers can make their way down to the beach to begin. When finished, simply bring your trash bag back to the Loggerhead Marinelife Center and pick up a free t-shirt as a Thank You for helping gift.

The Self-Guided Beach Cleanup are every Saturday morning through the month of November and December beginning at 8:30 am to 11:30 am. All are welcomed to participate and help keep our beaches and ocean clean.  For more information, click here.
