Over the past few days and weeks, Palm Beach County has been taking steps to enter into Phase One of Reopening Florida. Like Palm Beach County, many nearby counties have reopened restaurants; parks, community pools, tennis courts, golf courses and some have reopened their beaches.

As of know, Palm Beach County beaches remain closed but there is going to be a meeting this Friday, May 15th to discuss the possibility of reopening beaches in Palm Beach County as early as next week.

During a meeting last Friday, May 8th, county commissioners made the decision in a 4-3 vote during the special board meeting. County commissioners will meet again this Friday, May 15th to finalize the final decision.

If voted yes, the beaches in Palm Beach County could open up on Monday, May 18th with restrictions.  If open, the beaches will open be open to Palm Beach County residents only and social distancing guidelines must be followed.
