The Society of the Four Arts, Esther B. O'Keeffe Gallery, 102 Four Arts Plaza, Palm Beach, is presenting “In God We Trust: Early Bible Printings” from the David M. Rubenstein Americana Collection. It is an extraordinary exhibition of historic American Bibles and religious texts, many of which have rarely been displayed. The exhibit is currently running through Sunday, February 28, 2021.

Visitors to the exhibition will also enjoy listening to music from one of the books. This is hymn music, recorded by students from Palm Beach Atlantic University’s School of Music & Fine Arts, from the first American book of music printed from type.

The exhibition features 18 books from the Americana Collection of Rubenstein, prominent American businessman and philanthropist. Organized by the New-York Historical Society in collaboration with Rubenstein’s archive specialist, “In God We Trust: Early Bible Printings” offers the narratives of these books and the creativity and diversity of the early Americans who created them.

Gallery admission is $10 and free for members and children 14 and younger. Tickets are available at the gallery box office or online. The Esther B. O’Keeffe Gallery is open Monday’s, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday – Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
