The Wellington Tennis Center will celebrate its seventh-year anniversary, its grand opening was June 9, 2015. The 4,506 square foot facility features twenty-one self-irrigated Har-Tru clay courts, a canvas-covered rooftop balcony, and a pro-shop. Eight Tennis Professionals are available on staff offering private and group lessons. The Wellington Tennis Center is located at 3100 Lyons Road, in Wellington.

On that Grand Opening day tennis star, Venus Williams made a very special appearance. To help celebrate the opening of the new $5 million tennis facility, the five-time Wimbledon champion and 25-year resident of Palm Beach Gardens greeted fans. Williams stated that she would like to see more municipal courts in South Florida, calling Wellington’s new center “beautiful” compared to others she has seen. “It has an energy about it as well,” she said. “You can see how the community has embraced it.
