In a celebration of philanthropy and community service, Rob Thomson, a prominent figure in Northern Palm Beach County real estate, was awarded the title of 2023 Humanitarian of the Year by the Florida Association of Realtors. This prestigious accolade, a testament to Thomson's commitment to giving back, was awarded to him at the 2023 Florida Realtors Convention & Trade Expo held at The Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando on August 17th.

This award stands as a tribute to individuals who have gone above and beyond in making meaningful contributions to their communities through acts of selflessness and compassion. A lifelong resident of Jupiter, Thomson holds a sterling reputation not only as a top-earning Realtor but also as a dedicated philanthropist with a heart as big as his accomplishments.

Thomson's unwavering dedication to the Big Dog Ranch Rescue in Loxahatchee, Florida, where he serves as Vice President, has garnered him well-deserved recognition. The Humanitarian of the Year award shines a spotlight on his continued support, including lifetime donations totaling an impressive $100,000. However, his impact extends beyond monetary gifts.

In a touching display of goodwill, Thomson led the charge in organizing the Big Dog Ranch Christmas in July event. This initiative showcased his generosity in underwriting $10,000 worth of adoption fees for local heroes – first responders, police personnel, military service members, and veterans. Such acts of kindness resonate deeply within the community, setting an inspiring example for others to follow.

One of Thomson's most impactful contributions has been his involvement in the creation and success of the Veteran Dog Training Program. This initiative has been a lifeline for many veterans, providing them with loyal service dogs to assist in managing hardships such as PTSD. Through this program, Thomson has demonstrated a commitment to helping those who have served their country transition to civilian life with newfound companionship and support.

Thomson's generosity is not confined to his philanthropic endeavors; it is a core value embedded within his real estate office, Waterfront Properties & Club Communities. Under his leadership, the brokerage not only focuses on selling luxury properties, but also fostering positive change within the community.

In celebrating Thomson's recognition as the 2023 Humanitarian of the Year, we also celebrate the spirit of generosity, compassion, and community that he embodies. His story reminds us that each of us has the power to make a difference. As we look towards the future, may we draw inspiration from individuals like Rob Thomson and strive to leave a mark of kindness wherever our journey takes us.
