Delaware Scrub Natural Area is a 16-acre piece of land that was acquired by the Town of Jupiter and Palm Beach County in 2005. Jones Creek, a tributary of the Loxahatchee River, lies along the east side of the natural area. A unique feature of the Delaware Scrub Natural Area is the freshwater dome swamp composed of cypress trees, which is rare in today’s urban areas. The area includes a large boardwalk and is great for hiking, biking, canoeing and kayaking.
