What's So Great About The Palm Beaches During Winter?

Every year Palm Beach County attracts Winter golfers with its beautiful 70-degree weather and clear, sunny skies. With its more than 150 public and private golf courses, Palm Beach County is known as the Golf Capital of the World. Unlike much of the rest of the country, PBC residents aren’t currently locked up indoors, waiting for the sun to return. We are just as active now as we are throughout the rest of the year.

The Palm Beaches have a lot to offer in the Winter. Salt and freshwater enthusiasts, for example, enjoy some of the best fishing in North America. Polo and equestrian events, including the World Cup and Winter Equestrian Festival, are particularly popular this time of year, draw large crowds and international celebrities. Our mild, cool Winters are one of the best things about Palm Beach County, they are a large part of the reason the area attracts many Northerners who have grown tired of living through long, dreary Winter weather.

Within the area, luxury country club communities such as Admiral’s Cove, BallenIsles, Bear’s Club, Old Palm Golf Club, and Trump National Golf Club to name a few, are drawing golfers south.  With private golf courses designed by the greats like, Jack Nicklaus, Raymond Floyd, and Robert von Hagge, the courses have been designed for players of all levels, while still offering a challenge to better others. The courses are magnificently landscaped with some on waterfront vistas.  Imagine playing along with the tropical Florida waterways or lushly pined groves.
