The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is currently closed to visitors but school children from across Jupiter and South Florida will have the opportunity to learn about the state’s rich natural history online.

The online history classes will be led by the children’s book author Harvey Oyer III, Oyer will expand on the stories in his beloved The Adventures of Charlie Pierce series. Many schools in Palm Beach County use Oyer’s books as part of the history curriculum.

The online classes are aimed for fourth graders but all are welcomed to watch the videos and use the resources. The segments include PowerPoint’s, crossword, coloring sheets, word search, biography, educational videos and more all available online.

Download the free Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum app for a free virtual tour of the Lighthouse grounds. The tour lasts approximately 30 minutes.
