The 3rd Annual Waste to Wonder Exhibit is being presented at GalleRe, Resource Depot, in Palm Beach County January 22, 2021 – March 11, 2021. The Resource Depot, 2508 Florida Avenue, West Palm Beach is a non for profit 501c3 organization and all donations are tax deductible. For 21 years, Resource Depot has tackled Palm Beach County’s growing waste problem by rescuing unwanted and excess materials, turning waste into wonder. Resource Depot collects donations from businesses and individuals and redistributes the items to teachers, artists, families, and other non-profit organizations that need them, encouraging creative, hands-on learning and innovation.

The 2021 display at GalleRe features fresh artwork with a revitalized stance. This exhibition features 21 artists who converted discovered objects from Resource Depot’s “Warehouse of Wonder” that sparked their individual curiosity. These pieces inspired the artists fresh works of art for this showcase.  Dive into the world of creative repurpose and reuse of common everyday items which may normally be discarded. The Resource Depot is a not-for-profit 501c3 organization and all contributions are tax deductible to the extent provided by federal and state law.

The Resource Depot keeps hundreds of thousands of pounds reusable materials out of the landfill each year.   Materials such as carpet squares, plastics, paper of all sizes and colors, wallpaper sample books, tiles and tile samples and office supplies.  The Resource Depot also gathers craft materials such as buttons, ribbon, yarn, or beads and by doing this it supports arts and education programs by stretching supply budgets in the county.
