Nestled along the coast in Miami-Dade County, the Deering Estate is a cultural asset and historic site listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The beautiful Deering Estate lights up for the holidays with a variety of activities throughout December. Enjoy vintage decor, photos with Santa, evening strolls and more as you get into the spirit of the season. The estate is located at 16701 SW 72nd Avenue, Miami. 

The Deering Estate preserves the 1920’s era Miami estate of Charles Deering. Deering was a Chicago industrialist, early preservationist, environmentalist, art collector, philanthropist and first chairperson of the International Harvester Company. As a 21st Century Museum destination for tourists and residents, a variety of holiday events and programs are offered.

Historic Holiday Decor:

Gilded Age Daily, through January 6, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The Deering Estate is closed on December 25th. Visitors can tour the elegant and historic houses as they come alive with holiday cheer. 

Story Time and Photos with Santa:

Saturday, December 11, between 10 a.m. and noon. Photo packages available. According to organizers: “Mr. Claus will be positioned at a safe distance in the Great Hall so guests can purchase photos with Santa. Holiday stories will also be shared.”
