Just a few minutes from Jupiter, close to 11,500 acres of unspoiled Florida landscape called Jonathan Dickinson State Park provides outdoor enthusiasts with a wide array of activities to reunite you with nature. For those who want to get some physical activity and see the park at the same time, canoe, kayak, and bicycle rentals are available. If you prefer a more comfortable view, guided tour options by boat, canoe, horseback, and buggy are available as well.

Jonathan Dickinson State Park is the largest state park in Southeast Florida, and it's open seven days a week to visitors. The Loxahatchee River, Florida's first federally designated "Wild and Scenic River," winds its way through the park under a canopy of cypress trees. This campground is open 365 days a year from 8am until sunset, and reservations can be made up to 11 months in advance.

The park includes the Elsa Kimbell Environmental Education and Research Center and 13 different natural habitats including sand pine scrub, pine flatwoods, mangroves, and river swamps.

Now open in Jonathan Dickinson is a food and beverage garden called "Palmettos on the Loxahatchee", which features wine, beer, and locally sustainable organic food.
