Stuart Named Among Charming Towns

Good Housekeeping Magazine conducted a study of the “60 Charming American Town You Haven’t Heard of But Should Visit ASAP” and not only but the Martin County’s Stuart has made the list. Stuart ranked number six of 60 charming American towns and one of a few Florida towns on the list.

The charming city is a favorite by many.  Stuart is known as the Sailfish Capital of the world because of its location along the banks of the St. Lucie River, the Indian River Lagoon, and the eastern point of the Okeechobee waterways, where many sailfish are found in the waters.

This isn’t the first time Stuart has been on the favorite list. In 2016, the Coastal Living Magazine gave Stuart the “America’s Happiest Seaside Town” award. Stuart is also on the Smithsonian Magazine’s “Must Visit Small Town”, “America’s Most Beautiful Small Town”, and “Top Ten Beach Towns in Florida” lists.

More than 16,000 people get to call Stuart home. Stuart is within a close driving distance to the Palm Beach International Airport for traveling out of state and is home to its own Witham Field airport for vacationers.

Along the main street, SE Ocean Boulevard, there is plenty of local shops, boutiques, museums, art galleries, cafes, restaurants and much more. In addition to the numerous activities, Stuart is home to great schools, numerous golf courses, great beaches, boating areas, and fun outdoor activities. Stuart is known for its history and for having very pedestrian friendly downtown area.
