Greenfield Mortgages has hired industry veteran Richard Keen to lead its corporate and national key accounts.

The specialist bridging lender says Keen, who has worked in financial services for more than 25 years, will focus on developing relationships across the UK’s major intermediary distribution channels.

The firm, which began lending in 2009, offers regulated and unregulated short-term mortgages.

Keen joins from property finance group Octane Capital where he was head of networks and internal sales for nine months.

Prior to that, he spent nine years at specialist lender Precise Mortgages, leaving as national sales manager for new build.

Greenfield Mortgages managing director John Yates welcomed having Keen’s experience at the firm, adding “we have ambitious plans for the business over the coming months and years”.

Keen says that he is joining a business with an “unrivalled reputation for service within their specialist sector”.
