Paradigm Mortgage Services has added the Vernon Building Society to its lender panel and starts with the launch of a semi-exclusive buy-to-let product to its members.

The mortgage club says its member firms will get access to the entire Vernon product range, and will be able to offer landlords the mutual’s holiday BTL product priced at 2.84% with a £299 fee.

The Vernon offers a range of mortgage products to borrowers on a case-by-case basis through its intermediary sales team. The society offers mortgages to first-time buyers, home movers, remortgagors, retired borrowers, self-build clients as well as BTL landlords.

It also offers later life lending with no age limitation, student mortgages for those buying while at university, joint borrower sole proprietor products, mortgages for those with complex incomes, first-time landlords and interest-only options.

The society says all cases are manually underwritten, and once registered, brokers will be able to use its online affordability calculator, obtain a decision in principle, and submit a full application through its broker hub.

The club’s members will also get access to the mutual’s intermediary helpline and direct contact with its team of business development managers.

Paradigm Mortgage Services director of mortgages Richard Howes says: “We are always very pleased to be able to bring lenders on board who offer a variety of product options across a growing number of sectors, especially in certain niche areas.

“Vernon Building Society certainly fits the bill here and Paradigm members are some of the very first firms to be able to access its new holiday buy-to-let product with this semi-exclusive arrangement.”

Vernon Building Society head of mortgage & savings distribution Brendan Crowshaw adds: “This partnership represents the latest step in Vernon’s ambitious growth strategy.

“We’re a small but innovative lender, with a common-sense, flexible approach to underwriting and a commitment to working with brokers.”
