News broke earlier this week that a new hospital could soon be coming to Northern Palm Beach County. The plans are still in its earlier stages and the county would still need to approve but a new hospital may be coming to Palm Beach Gardens.

A Pennsylvania based company, Universal Health Services has recently submitted plans and an application to the city of Palm Beach Gardens Zoning and Development Department. The company is seeking to purchase a 34-acre parcel of land in the new Alton subdivision near Donald Ross Road and Interstate 95.

According to the Palm Beach Gardens development website, the new proposed hospital will feature 270 beds and would be seven stories and conditional use for a helicopter pad. The site is also looking to include an 80,000 square foot, four story medical building next door.

If plans go through, the new hospital will join the Jupiter Medical Center and the Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center In the area.  Both Northern Palm Beach County hospitals have won awards and are known for excellent quality and great medical staff as well as patient safety and satisfaction.

The medical campus, if approved, would be the third in Northern Palm Beach County. The project is still in the early stages and is still awaiting approval from the Planning and Zoning Board of Palm Beach Gardens.
