Aldermore has appointed Ross Dalzell as managing director of its property division.

Dalzell joins from Barclays where he held a number of positions within its corporate and business banking divisions, most recently as managing director, head of business relationships.

In his new role, Dalzell will drive the bank’s new strategy in the property market.

He will also develop new products and services for self-employed, first-time buyers and those with less-than-perfect credit histories.

Dalzell will join Aldermore’s executive committee and report to chief executive Steve Cooper.

Commenting on Dalzell’s appointment, Cooper says: “We’re delighted to welcome Ross to the team. He brings with him a wealth of experience that will be invaluable as Aldermore implements its new growth strategy, which our property division is central to.”
