Stonebridge has appointed Daniel Darby to the newly created role of protection account manager.

Darby brings with him more than 20 years of industry experience having been a mortgage and protection adviser and from his previous role as area mortgage manager for South Wales at TSB.

In his new role, he will develop and implement additional training programmes to further improve appointed representatives (ARs) ability to discuss protection needs with customers.

He will report to John Scrivens, who joined the Stonebridge senior management team near the end of 2023 and is responsible for the network’s protection strategy.

Scrivens says: “A key element of our strategy is to provide our ARs with market-leading support and training to confidently protect their customers. With Dan now on board, we will be further accelerating our plan.

“Having been an adviser himself, Dan brings with him the experience, knowledge, and understanding to engage and support our member firms. Not only for where they are as a business today, but for their future aspirations.”
