Principality Building Society has appointed two new business development managers who will look after “key geographical areas” for the business.
The Welsh mutual says Jo Silcox will be responsible for the Swansea, Cardiff and Powys postcode areas. Cara Thompson will look after the Hereford, Worcester, Newport and Gloucester postcode areas.
Silcox has worked for the building society for almost 17-and-a-half years, starting off as a senior branch manager in September 2005.
Thompson returns to the Principality from Hodge for Intermediaries where she worked as a telephone business development manager for just under two years.
Prior to that, she worked at the mutual for almost 18 months as a customer consultant, leaving in January 2021. Earlier in her career, she spent three years at Redrow Homes, leaving as a sales consultant in December 2018.
Principality Building Society national intermediary manager Helen Lewis says: “I am delighted we have been able to appoint these two exceptional individuals into key geographical areas for us.
“They will help our brokers to place business with us while also educating them on all things Principality.”
The Principality’s Silcox says that she has “worked at the Principality for over 17 years in a variety of mortgage and retail-based management roles”, adding that she is looking forward to getting to know “the brokers within the area and getting a good understanding of what matters to them”.
Thompson adds that she brings “a wealth of knowledge from previous roles, including being a mortgage advisor and a desk-based business development manager”.
