Caroline Hill has been appointed chief people officer at Leeds Building Society.

Hill joins from KPMG where she was head of people for its audit and business services division for eight months, prior to which she served as people and strategy officer at financial services firm Wesleyan, where she worked for four years.

For just under two years she also worked as head of HR operations at Santander UK.

Leeds Building Society chief executive Richard Fearon says: “This is a time of great opportunity for the society as we look ahead to a post-pandemic way of working.

“Caroline’s skills and experience will be invaluable as we build a diverse workforce for the future and continue to settle into our new modern Head Office in the centre of Leeds.”

Hill adds: “I’m delighted to be joining Leeds Building Society, where our skilled and talented colleagues are our biggest asset.”

In October last year the building society appointed global portfolio and digital product roadmap director at BT Group, Anita Tadayon, to the board as a non-executive director.
