Places to Visit in Stuart: Shepard Park

Img

Shepard Park is a great place for families in Stuart to hang out and bring their kids to play on the playground or to launch their boat for the day. Outdoor fun and in-person play are invaluable for kids and what better way to do that than in a place that is also enjoyable for you.

Shepard's Park in Stuart has a lovely location right on the intercoastal waterway. Here, a boardwalk over the water amongst the mangrove plants has pretty views of the bridge curving over liquid blue. At sunset you can sit on a bench and watch the peachy colors over the water. There are plenty of picnic tables under large trees, and a playground under tall coconut trees. White sand makes the playground area a fun place to dig and play. There are swings too. Near the playground you can walk over to the canal and watch the fishermen zooming by.

Also, every Sunday from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm there is a drum circle that gathers in the park so, if you play, or if you would just like to listen, come on out!
