Our preliminary numbers for April are in, showing an increase in the number of Madison area homes and condos being listed for sale. 

Dane County single family homes

A total of 683 single family homes were listed for sale on the MLS, which was up 15% from the 583 listed in April of 2024. Year-to-date, new listings are up 5 percent. Note, however, listing activity remains light compared to most other years dating back to the year 2000.  

Dane County Condos

A total of 176 condominiums were listed for sale on the MLS, which was up 5% from the 168 listed in April of 2024. Year-to-date, condo listings are down 2 percent. Note from the chart below that condo listings remain low compared to most other years this century.
