Outdoor parks and playgrounds are going to be more important than ever this Summer as residents of the Palm Beaches continue social distance and try to keep their kids as safe and healthy as possible. Here are some fun places where your kids can play and have fun outdoors.

Constitution Park in Tequesta

Amazing playground and beautifully maintained surrounds make this park a true gem.  You may have to physically pry your children off of the equipment when it is time to leave.  The playground is best suited to older children with the tube slides and a tall treehouse.  There is also a fitness trail and basketball courts.

Lake Lytal Park in West Palm Beach

Popular for its affordable water fun at the Family Aquatic Center, Lake Lytal in central Palm Beach County also has many other features to enjoy.  Baseball, racquetball, basketball, and tennis courts are available for active families or groups looking for a little competition.  There are a couple of playgrounds with bright, fun equipment to romp around on before or after you hit the water.

Okeeheelee Park near Wellington

This marvelous park is hard to miss in central west Palm Beach County.  It has a little something for everyone.  Okeeheelee Nature Center, housed inside the park,  features 2.5 miles of trails winding through 90 acres of pine flatwoods and wetlands. Highlights of the center include hands-on exhibits, animal encounters and a nature related gift shop.  There is a BMX track, 8 miles of bicycle/walking trails, paddle boats, an 111-acre equestrian center, ball fields, fishing, boat slips, golf, Pooch Pines Dog Park, and playground.

Loggerhead Park in Juno Beach

Get up close to nature and enjoy some of Palm Beach’s beautiful coastline.  This is the site of the Loggerhead Marinelife Center and a wonderful playground.  Picturesque chickee huts and nature trail coupled with beach fun make this a relaxing, educational and fun spot to visit.  Bring your swim clothes, your curiosity and spend the day.
