Cody's Catering - A Must Have During Quarantine

Great To Go Food in Bend Oregon

If you are anything like us, we have been very sad about not being able to go out to our favorite restaurants during this quarantine. However, this just means we have been changing our focus from dine-in opportunities to the best "To Go" locations in Band! Last week we had the opportunity to try Cody's Catering and for anyone looking for a lot of great BBQ at a fantastic price, this is a must try!

Currently through the end of April, Cody's is offering a special where you can buy one dinner for 4 hot and get a second "easy to heat up" dinner for 4 for half price! For a total of $46 we got enough food for about 4 meals for the two of us. Well of course this was exactly the kind of To Go bargain we were hunting for and it sure was delicious! We ordered the BBQ chicken dinner for 4 as our hot meal and it did not disappoint. We had so many pieces of delicious chicken that were cooked to perfection along with a generous side of potatoes au gratin, mac and cheese and garlic bread. For just the two of us, this has turned into several additional lunches and parts of the meal have been used with other dishes.

For our "easy to heat up" meal, we went with the BBQ pulled pork with a side of coleslaw, potato salad and rolls. This was the perfect combination for meal number 2! We warmed up the pulled pork in a cast iron skillet in the oven and toasted the rolls. With this combo, we were able to make mini BBQ pulled pork sliders with coleslaw on it. This combination was out of this world and we only wished we had larger stomachs so we could eat more! The coleslaw and potato salad both had apples in them to give them a wonderful crunch and really had us believing we were in the south.

We also just saw Cody's is going to be offering To Go orders for Easter. Check out their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/codyscountrycatering/ for more information on their April dinner deal or for their Easter special! If you are looking for an amazing dinner that you do not even have to cook during quarantine, maybe that will be the place to try!

All the best,
