Sesame Network has added seven new providers to its protection panel.

This has almost doubled the size of its panel, enabling advisers to offer a wider product choice to their clients.

New panel members include British Friendly, Canada Life, Cirencester Friendly, Guardian, Shepherd’s Friendly, The Exeter and Unum. 

Products from this providers will now sit alongside those offered by Aegon, AIG, Aviva, L&G, LV=, Royal London, Scottish Widows, Vitality and Zurich.

These providers offer a range of products including term assurance, critical illness cover, income protection, private medical insurance, business protection and group risk.

As well as extending the product range these insurers also offer additional support tools, including calculators and access to videos and webinars to help advisers increase their understanding of these various product lines. 

Sesame Network managing director Richard Howells says: “Our new expanded panel gives advisers more solutions and greater choice of protection products.” 

He points out this is particularly important at the current time, as the coronavirus pandemic has increased consumer interest in protection cover.
