CapitalRise has hired Imogen Williams as business development director and promoted Ed Groves to become an associate at the property finance firm.
The business, which focuses on prime property investment, says Williams joins from Market Financial Solutions where she worked for just over three years, leaving as a regional sales manager in February.
It says her new role will involve “building on existing and establishing new relationships with developers, property investors, and those requiring real estate debt in key markets and geographies across London and the South East”.
The firm combines bridging and development lending to help finance primarily residential projects.
The business adds that Ed Groves, who joined the firm in 2021 as a credit analyst, progressing to senior analyst last year, is now an associate at the company.
Groves will now proactively seek new business opportunities for residential debt finance, in addition to his current responsibilities.
The business says the moves are “a response to strong market demand for development finance within the prime property sector across London and the wider South East”.
CapitalRise chief executive and co-founder Uma Rajah adds: “We have increasingly ambitious lending targets for 2024 following a strong performance in 2023.
“To date, we surpassed £335m in lending against £873m of property. Furthermore, with a strong appetite to lend, supported by our recent £250m funding line, recognising and celebrating achievement among our talented colleagues is key.”
