Flower Art in Public Spaces Palm Beach Gardens

There is flower art to be found in a Palm Beach Gardens space. Within the Palm Beach County Gardens Branch Library, 11303 Campus Drive in Palm Beach Gardens is "Garden Gate" by Garth Edwards. The Palm Beach County Art in Public Places program allows projects to come about. The program is managed by the Facilities Development and Operations Department of Palm Beach County.

At the Gardens Library is an installation designed and fabricated by artist Garth Edwards, “Garden Gate” is inspired by Palm Beach Gardens' early vision of the town becoming a "Garden City". The mission of the program is to provide art which will compliment public buildings and parks. Garth’s design and color palette complement the library's interior design and architectural features, resulting in a vibrant, whimsical installation that appears to bloom from the walls and corners of the library.

Just at the entrance of the library people are greeted with colorful vine-like sculptures. Alive with imaginative depictions of local flora and fauna. There is a gardenesque archway which invites visitors into the library's youth and family section. Plant inspired sculptures in this area are on the reference desk and continue the garden theme. The Palm Beach County Art in Public Places program enhances community identity and improves the design quality of public groundwork and contributes to the objectives of the county departments where the projects are located.
