Fluent Money has appointed Tim Wheeldon as chief executive of the broker.
The firm says Wheeldon has “a wealth of experience” at the business having been one of the founding members of the company in 2008 alongside Kevin Hindley, Paul Ford, and Simon Moore.
It adds that his “extensive background and strategic vision make him well-suited to lead the company”.
Wheeldon was previously chief operating officer at Fluent Money, which was bought by rival broker Mortgage Advice Bureau for £72.2m in 2022.
Wheeldon says: “Fluent’s journey has been remarkable and one that I am excited to continue.”
MAB chief executive Peter Brodnicki adds: “Tim’s deep-rooted understanding of Fluent’s journey, coupled with his strategic foresight, puts him in the ideal position to guide us into Fluent’s next phase of growth, and we look forward to a productive and innovative future under his leadership.”
Last week, Mortgage Advice Bureau said the total number of advisers in its group fell by 4% to 2,158 last year from 12 months ago, following a “difficult market”.
It added that 117 advisers from Fluent Mortgage and Protection were included in the job losses the network had made over the last year.
