Tip #2: Use your time with your realtor to refine and clarify what you are looking for in your home. Touring a few properties will help you focus your search as you and your realtor discuss the features and finishes of each home.

Tip #3: Be mindful of home surveillance systems. Many homes are monitored these days, so it's best not to discuss negotiation strategies until after you've left the home.
