Barclays says that intermediaries have until Friday 26 June to submit certain applications from existing clients with a six-digit account number.
The lender says that after this deadline, applications for buy-to-let further advance and transfer of equity will have to be done through a Barclays mortgage adviser.
Clients with a ten-digit account number will still be accepted through an intermediary application after this date, as will product transfers from any client, be they with a six- or ten-digit number.
In further BTL news, Barclays states in a note to brokers that it will no longer be accepting multi-unit properties or existing special purpose vehicles or limited liability partnerships applications after the above date, either.
