The Income Protection Task Force (IPTF) has announced six new members for 2024 as part of ambitious plans for the year ahead.
The new members include Scottish Widows, Holloway Friendly, British Friendly, One Family, Teledoc, and Square Health.
The organisation now has 26 members in addition to working with advisers and networks across the industry.
The expanded membership announcement comes on the back of a new leadership team as Vicky Churcher joined the organisation on 1 January as co-chai. Matthew Chapman and Lewis Breach have also joined the group’s steering committee.
IPTF has confirmed that the Income Protection Awareness Week will run online between 23rd and 27th September.
Additionally, IPTF will look to continue its programme of support for advisers with the launch of a regular podcast series, “LetsTalkIP”.
The IPTF is hoping to launch the podcast in early March. It will be hosted by Matthew Chapman and the episodes will look to explore best practice in advising clients on income protection as well as wider industry trends and insights from special guests and will be provide IP focused CPD for listeners.
IPTF said it will also be working to encourage market growth and to tackle barriers to sale for the product via a number of workstreams focused on different aspects of the income protection market.
