Congratulations to our clients, Kelsey and Ted, on the purchase of a beautiful home in Stoughton! Over the last few years, agent Ann Raschein has worked side by side with them to both buy and sell as their family has grown and their needs have changed.
In February of 2018, Kelsey contacted Ann that she and Ted were ready to become homeowners. They started looking at homes – mostly on the eastside of Madison – right away, at the same time of year that many other homebuyers were, too. Then in June, Kelsey and Ted saw a home on Waunona Way and were instantly drawn to the big yard, the proximity to the lake, and the idea of being on the bike path!
The house was also loaded with charm that included arched doorways, original hardwood floors, and a sweet brick walkway. A month later, they were calling that place on Waunona Way home. They quickly started building upon the existing charm; they finished a portion of the lower level (that became Kelsey’s work from home space), made updates to the bathroom, and added curb appeal that included perennial gardens.
By Spring of 2022, Kelsey and Ted told Ann that their sweet, little home was just too cramped for their expanding family. They started the search again, this time looking at several other Dane County locations. Ultimately, Stoughton would be their new hometown! And their new house would give them plenty of space to spread out, including a 2 car garage, a pool, and more storage! The home improvements they had made at their Waunona Way location helped Kelsey and Ted build equity and attract multiple offers during their sale. In September, they accepted an offer for $50,000 over list price!
Kelsey and Ted were also very excited to share with Ann that Kelsey’s piano would be moving in with them this fall, too! The Waunona Way home had been too small for the piano, so unfortunately Kelsey was apart from it for four years. They have all found home again, just in time for the holidays. We can’t wait to see how Kelsey, Ted, and their son settle into Stoughton and their new home!
