Furness Building Society has appointed Helen Thistlethwaite as business development manager within the intermediaries mortgage team.

Thistlethwaite joins from Penrith Building Society where she mostly recently served as business development manager.

She also brings experience from her previous roles as a mortgage broker and financial advisor.

In her new role, Thistlethwaite will work directly with brokers across the North and Scotland to help homebuyers secure mortgages.
