Visit The Lion Country Safari

Lion Country Safari is one of Palm Beach County’s Top Attractions and is Florida’s only drive-through and walk-through safari as well as an amusement park. The safari is located in Western Palm Beach County and is situated on more than 600 acres of land with over 1000 animals from six continents throughout the safari’s seven sections.

Some of the notable animals and species roaming the area include white rhinos, lions, giraffes, chimpanzees, and zebras. There is 4-miles of pathways throughout the safari to drive through and see the animals.

The safari was founded in 1967 and claims to be the first cage-less zoo in the United States. Lion Country Safari has won numerous awards and earned numerous recognitions since the safari opened its doors to the public. The safari has been named One of the Top Ten Drive-Through Safari’s, Best Outdoor Activity in Palm Beach County, Top Local Attraction, and One of the Best Safari’s to name a few.

The drive-through safari is open from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, last car admitted into the park at 4:30 pm and the Safari World Adventure Park is open from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. The walk-through amusement park and the drive-through safari are open daily, and the water slides and the Safari Queen boat ride are currently open just on the weekends.

Tickets are required to enter the park and can be purchased online or at the gate.

Currently, the Lion Country Safari has partnered with the Miami Seaquarium and the Miami Zoo to offer a special ticket deal to become an annual passholder. By becoming a passholder, you will have access to all three parks for the price of one for the summer. The annual pass offer with unlimited visits to all three parks is valid from May 10th through August 31st.
