Brightstar Financial has appointed Maria Harris as a technology consultant.

Harris stepped down from her position as director of retail mortgages at Atom Bank in July 2019 to become an independent industry consultant.

In her new role, Harris will support the development of Brightstar Financials’ technology platforms.

Brightstar Group group chief executive Rob Jupp says: “Technology plays a big role in this proposition and there are few people better equipped to take our technology to the next level.

“Harris played a formative role in the development and launch of the pioneering digital mortgages proposition at Atom Bank and has great knowledge and experience in our market.”
