Santander for Intermediaries has launched a new online service for brokers to recommend to their clients to help smooth the mortgage process.

The bank’s Edge Home app allows clients to view and download mortgage offers as well as track the real-time progress of their application from beginning to end.

Its features provide updates on completion times, news about delays, and through the bank’s partners, allows clients to book such services as removal vans or order home broadband services.

The app is available to a range of homebuyers, ranging from home movers to remortgagers.

The lender adds the service aims to “reduce call volumes and free up time” for brokers “to deliver personalised, expert advice to your clients”.
