It's baseball season...Is your realtor going to bat for you?

There are so many ways your realtor can go to bat for you in our competitive market. Here are 3 of them:

#1) Getting you into your dream home. The best hitters in baseball don't hit a home run with each trip to the plate. The same goes for your buyer agent who is writing offers on your behalf. Sometimes they swing and miss and strikeout with nothing to show for their work. But, the best agents stay patient and persistent and keep taking good swings with each at bat. With this approach it's just a matter of time before they (and you) knock one out of the park.

#2) Preparing your home for the market. The pre-season is an important time in baseball. It's when the team focuses on the fundamentals in preparation for the regular season when the real games begin. When you're selling your home, a good listing agent uses the "pre-season" to focus on preparation, too. By focusing on repairs, simple cosmetic updates, professional staging, and professional photos -- you and your agent will enjoy success when it's time for your home to hit the market.

#3) Negotiating the best deal for you. Some baseball players end up signing lucrative contracts when they have an agent behind the scenes who is effectively negotiating on their behalf. Just like in baseball, the best real estate negotiators diligently go about their work, too: communicating with the other party, advocating for their client, and attending to all of the important details until both parties are ready to sign the contract. The best negotiators put in the extra work behind the scenes when no one else is watching.
