She is a native Mainer, born in York and raised along the coast in the communities of Spruce Head, Camden, Kennebunkport, Deer Isle and Stonington. Laura grew up riding and showing horses and bringing home championships. She enjoys exploring Maine even though the more she explores, the longer her list gets. Areas of interest are East Port, the Western Mountains, going up to the County (Aroostook) and the Potato Blossom Festival.
