NatWest hikes rates | Mortgage Strategy

NatWest is implementing various rate hikes across its line-up of mortgage products.

In its core range, two-year fixes have been raised by 10 basis points, with rates now starting at 1.53%. For remortgages within this fix, rates start at 1.46%.

For five-year fixes rates have increased by 10 basis points, with the lowest rate starting at 1.69%. Remortgages start at 1.63%.

For first-time buyers, residential rate charges on two-year fixed rates have gone up by 10 basis points. Lowest rates now stand at 1.73%.

For shared equity, two year fixes are increasingly by 15 basis points, with rates starting at 1.59%. Five-year fixes are to start at 1.74%.

For help-to-buy shared equity, two-year fixes are increasing by 15 basis points, with the lowest rate now being 1.59%. Remortgage rates in the same fix are increasingly 10 basis points and will start at 1.70%.

For five-year fixes, rates are increasing by 10 basis points, starting at 1.74%, while five-year remortgages are increasing 10 basis points with rates starting at 1.88%.

For buy-to-let (BTL) products, two year fixes are increasing by 5 basis points, with rates starting at 1.59%, while remortgages on the same fix will increase 5 basis points with rates starting at 1.58%.

Five year fixes for BTL are increasing by 5 basis points, with rates starting at 1.81%, while remortgages are increasing by 5 basis points with lowest rates standing at 1.67%.

For green mortgages, on a two-year fix, rates are increasing by 10 basis points with rates starting at 1.52% and remortgages at 1.45% with an increase of 10 basis points as well.

On a five-year fix for green mortgages, rates will increase by 10 basis points and rates will start at 1.68%. Remortgages will start at 1.62%, marking a 10 basis point increase.

With a two-year fix on a BTL green mortgage, rates are increasingly 5 basis points with rates starting at 1.58%. Remortgages are increasing by 5 basis points to 1.57%.

On a five-year fix, rates are increasing by 5 basis points with rates starting at 1.80%. Remortgages will also increase by 5 basis points and rates will start at 1.76%.
