Halifax has updated its paperwork for older working borrowers.

The lender says its new customer working age form will need to be completed by all customers on an application when the mortgage term takes one or more customers past their 70th birthday.

It says the new form has made it “clearer that the date required is the date the customer is signing the form”.

The firm tells brokers to “ensure the new version of this form is used, and not any saved previous versions, and that this form is completed correctly to avoid delays in the application process,” on its intermediary website.
