Swansea Building Society has refreshed its brand with a new logo and a new-look website.

The mutual’s revamped logo incorporates the year Swansea Building Society was established, 1923, as it looks forward to its centenary celebrations.

It adds the rebrand aims to reinforce “the society’s ethos of enabling individuals and families to realise their goals of a better, more secure future, based within strong communities”.

The mutual is the UK’s 30th biggest building society with total assets of £414m at the end of December 2020.

It says it has seen significant growth over the last 18 months, with expansion across South West Wales. This includes its Cowbridge branch passing £100m in mortgage balances and over 450 mortgage accounts at the end of May.

Swansea Building Society chief executive Alun Williams says: “The rebranding exercise and new website launch have enabled us to focus on the society’s key message and aims – that of meeting the needs of our customers and working to create positive outcomes for individuals, families and communities across Wales.

“Here at Swansea Building Society, we possess a determined will, unwavering dedication, and strong belief in the way we do things. This is illustrated by our ethos of opening and not closing branches and taking the lead to bring about the changes we wish to deliver.

“This passion to create better futures for our customers drives our attitude and approach.

“As such, we felt that now was the right time to refresh our message and update our brand as we move towards celebrating 100 years as a customer-first building society.”
